Lemon Tree Hotels Limited announced the signing of Lemon Tree Hotel, Sirhind, on 30 October 2026. The hotel will have 76 rooms. Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned Lemon Tree subsidiary, will manage it. Planned facilities include a restaurant, a banquet hall, a meeting room, a pool, a spa and a fitness centre. Sirhind Junction is about 3.5 km away, and Chandigarh airport is about 45 km away.
Sirhind sits in Fatehgarh Sahib district and draws pilgrim and leisure traffic linked to Sikh heritage sites. President Vishvapreet Singh Cheema said Lemon Tree now has four operating hotels and 10 upcoming properties in Punjab. The brand is using mid-scale hotels to cover religious tourism and highway demand in the state. The release did not give an opening date or the owner’s name beyond the management plan.
Our view is that Lemon Tree is filling gaps on Punjab’s pilgrim and transit routes, where branded mid-scale supply is still thin. Independent lodges near Fatehgarh Sahib will lose some group and transit share once the hotel opens. Single-source coverage leaves the opening year unclear. Lemon Tree management contracts in India have often opened within two to three years of signing when the building is already funded. We expect Lemon Tree Hotel Sirhind to open within three years, and the brand to announce at least one more Punjab signing within 12 months. Confidence: medium.
