IHCL opened Tree of Life Amoravida in North Goa on 28 October 2026. The boutique resort has 66 rooms. Dining is at Appetite, an all-day restaurant, and Aura Bar, an open rooftop terrace. The resort also has a swimming pool, a fitness centre and indoor and outdoor event space. Deepika Rao, executive vice president for select service at IHCL, said the brand focuses on slow travel and intimate resorts rooted in each place.
Tree of Life is IHCL’s brand for small private escapes. Amoravida sits in the Goan hinterland rather than on the main beach strip, aiming at guests who want a quieter stay. Guests can walk local trails and join cultural activities around the property. The opening adds to IHCL’s growing select service count in Goa. Room rates and the exact village pin were not the focus of the short consumer notes that followed the press release.
Our view is that IHCL is pushing Tree of Life beyond known hill and wildlife sites into coastal hinterland, which spreads the brand risk. Beach-facing Goa hotels will not feel this opening much, but mid-scale inland villas will. Short coverage left out occupancy targets and average rate goals. IHCL select service openings have usually ramped through the first peak season after launch. We expect Amoravida to trade through the 2026-27 winter as a soft brand fill for loyalty members, and IHCL to open at least one more Tree of Life in a coastal state within 12 months. Confidence: medium.
This is important for our readers because a new 66-key IHCL boutique resort is now open in North Goa. If you book Goa for leisure clients who want quiet stays, ask IHCL for Amoravida rates this week. If you run an inland villa rental in Pernem or Bardez, check your winter pricing against the new resort. If you sell IHCL loyalty packages, add Amoravida to your Goa options list.
