Lemon Tree Upgrades Three Renovated Hotels

Lemon Tree Hotels told the National Stock Exchange on 1 November 2026 that it has rebranded three renovated hotels with effect from that day. Lemon Tree Hotel, Electronics City, Bengaluru, with 175 rooms, is now a Lemon Tree Premier. Lemon Tree Hotel, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, with 190 rooms, is also now a Lemon Tree Premier. Red Fox Hotel, Hitec City, Hyderabad, with 121 rooms, now trades as a Lemon Tree Hotel. The Bengaluru hotel is owned by Celsia Hotels and the Gachibowli hotel by Fleur Hotels, both group firms.

Each move shifts a hotel one step up the group’s brand ladder. Lemon Tree Premier is the group’s upper mid-market brand, Lemon Tree Hotels is mid-market and Red Fox is economy. A higher brand usually lets a hotel charge more per room after a refresh. The three hotels sit in technology and office districts that depend on corporate travel. The filing quotes president Vishvapreet Singh Cheema on the change, and says the group has more than 130 hotels and a pipeline of more than 140 across seven brands.

Our view is that upgrading owned hotels is the fastest way for Lemon Tree to lift room rates without adding new supply. The group gains higher rates on 486 rooms, while nearby independent business hotels in Electronics City, Gachibowli and Hitec City lose some corporate accounts. Coverage has not stated the renovation cost or the rate gap between the old and new brands, which decides the return. Lemon Tree has carried out renovations of its owned hotels in phases in recent years. Office demand in Bengaluru and Hyderabad has stayed firm, which supports higher rates. We expect Lemon Tree to report a higher average room rate for these hotels in its results for the quarter to March 2027, and to announce more rebrandings of owned hotels within a year. Confidence: medium.

This is important for our readers because three business hotels in key technology districts now compete one tier higher. If you run a hotel near these properties, check their new rates against yours this week. If you sell corporate rate agreements, update your competitor list. If you supply hotel renovation work, note that rebranding after renovation is now a clear group strategy.
